vortex is built around anonymity. you don't sign up. we don't ask for your name, email, or phone number. you're a number, your words speak for themselves.
we use the data above only to make vortex work — to show you messages, count your streak, deliver chats between matched users, and improve the experience. we do not sell, share, or rent your data. we do not run third-party advertising.
your data is stored in our backend (supabase, hosted in the eu). only the vortex team can access it. we delete inactive data on a rolling basis.
messages you send to vortex appear anonymously to other players in your city. they may be guessed, liked, or reported. when someone correctly identifies your message as human, an anonymous chat opens between you. neither of you sees the other's name. you can leave the chat at any time.
do not share personal information in messages or chats. anything you write may be seen by other players in your city.
you can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app: profile → settings → delete account. this is permanent and immediate. you can also message us on instagram if anything is unclear.
vortex is not intended for children under 13. if you are under 13, do not use the app.
if we update this policy, we'll change the date below and (for material changes) notify you in the app.
